Jakarta (ANTARA) - Perusahaan modal ventura milik Telkom Group, MDI Ventures menyatakan komitmennya untuk berinvestasi kepada perusahaan rintisan (startup) yang memiliki dampak nyata di bidang ekonomi, sosial dan lingkungan yang berkelanjutan.
Hal itu dinyatakan MDI Ventures dalam peluncuran delapan "impact report" yang menyoroti kontribusi startup portfolionya terhadap sektor-sektor esensial, seperti pendidikan, kesehatan, aquaculture, dan fintech.
Startup portofolio yang terlibat dalam laporan itu meliputi Aruna, Paxel, Julo, SwipeRX, Qoala, Delos, Cermati, dan Amartha.

"Peluncuran delapan impact report ini menegaskan komitmen kami untuk berinvestasi di startup yang tidak hanya berfokus pada nilai ekonomi, tetapi juga yang memiliki visi kuat untuk menciptakan dampak nyata dan memberikan solusi terhadap aspek sosial maupun lingkungan,” kata VP of Strategy & Sustainability MDI Ventures, Alvin Evander dalam siaran pers pada Sabtu.
Salah satu aspek yang disorot dalam laporan itu adalah komitmen perusahaan portfolio MDI Ventures terhadap inklusi gender dan pemberdayaan perempuan, seperti di Qoala dan Amartha.

“Dengan pengalaman lebih dari 15 tahun, Amartha terus berkomitmen untuk memberdayakan perempuan dan masyarakat akar rumput melalui akses pendanaan yang terjangkau dan berkelanjutan, melalui pemanfaatan teknologi digital berbasis AI yang juga disertai pendampingan oleh SDM terlatih," kata Founder & CEO Amartha Andi Taufan Garuda Putra.
Amartha, yang terkenal sebagai perusahaan pionir fintech yang berfokus pada pembiayaan perempuan di perdesaan, sudah menyalurkan pinjaman kepada lebih dari 2,6 juta nasabah perempuan di Indonesia.
Selain itu, hingga tahun 2023, 42 persen dari total agen Qoala adalah perempuan atau meningkat dari 38 persen pada tahun sebelumnya.
Melalui kebijakan kerja yang inklusif dan program pelatihan, Qoala membuka peluang kerja bagi perempuan, termasuk mereka yang tidak memiliki gelar formal.
Inisiatif itu berperan dalam mendukung kesetaraan gender dan meningkatkan partisipasi ekonomi perempuan.
Selain itu, laporan ini juga mencatat inisiatif Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) dari JULO, yang pada tahun 2023 mengalokasikan investasi sebesar Rp113,9 juta, meningkat 403 persen dibandingkan tahun sebelumnya.
Program CSR JULO berfokus pada aktivitas untuk memenuhi kebutuhan komunitas, memperkuat hubungan, dan menciptakan dampak positif yang nyata bagi masyarakat.
Laporan itu juga menggarisbawahi pentingnya pengembangan strategi yang terintegrasi dan berkelanjutan bagi para startup.
Melalui kolaborasi lintas sektor, para startup diharapkan dapat terus memberikan kontribusi yang relevan dan menciptakan manfaat nyata bagi masyarakat, pemangku kepentingan, dan pihak terkait.

"Peluncuran impact report ini mencerminkan komitmen kami dalam memberdayakan komunitas pesisir melalui inovasi dan teknologi," kata Co-Founder dan Chief Sustainability Officer Aruna, Utari Octavianty.
"Pada tahun 2023, kami terhubung dengan lebih dari 55.000 nelayan di 150 lokasi, meningkatkan produksi, ekspor, dan pendapatan mereka hingga tiga kali lipat," kata Utari.
Peluncuran laporan itu juga sejalan dengan komitmen GoZero% yang hadir sebagai pembaharuan dari program environmental, social, dan governance (ESG) Telkom Indonesia sebelumnya.
Melalui GoZero%, Telkom optimis dapat mendorong semangat baru untuk mewujudkan masa depan berbasis ESG dan bisnis berkelanjutan.

"Kami berharap seluruh impact report ini dapat meningkatkan kesadaran publik dan pemangku kepentingan terhadap peran strategis startup dalam mendorong perubahan sosial, pemberdayaan komunitas, inovasi teknologi dan keberlanjutan lingkungan.

MDI komitmen berinvestasi pada startup berdampak sosial & lingkungan

Kata.ai, startup pengembang platform conversational AI yang membantu bisnis untuk membuat automasi percakapan dengan pelanggannya, terus mengalami pertumbuhan bisnis di tengah gencarnya transformasi digital di berbagai sektor perusahaan. Kepada DailySocial, Co-Founder & CEO Kata.ai Irzan Raditya mengatakan bahwa sepanjang tahun 2024 mereka mencatatkan pertumbuhan revenue mencapai 2 digit.

“Kami mencatatkan pertumbuhan revenue dobel digit yang sangat positif, dengan peningkatan EBITDA lebih dari 100% dibandingkan tahun sebelumnya. Hal ini menjadikan 2024 sebagai tahun dengan performa finansial terbaik sejak kami berdiri pada tahun 2015. Kami juga berhasil mencapai profitabilitas, yang menunjukkan bahwa strategi kami dalam menjaga efisiensi operasional sekaligus mendorong inovasi produk telah memberikan hasil yang maksimal,” ujarnya.

Sebagai B2B enterprise software, pendapatan Kata.ai banyak disokong dari ratusan pelanggan dari kalangan korporasi dan pemerintahan. Disebutkan pada 2024 adalah lebih dari 15 juta end users berinteraksi dengan AI chatbot miliknya. Kata.ai juga telah membantu memfasilitasi proses transaksi dan pembayaran dengan Gross Transaction Value (GTV) mencapai ratusan miliar Rupiah, tumbuh 50% dibandingkan tahun sebelumnya.

Tren conversational AI
Irzan juga mengungkapkan tren conversational AI saat ini telah berkembang pesat, terlebih di tengah kemunculan Agentic AI (atau AI Agent) – sistem yang mampu mengambil keputusan secara mandiri tanpa harus menunggu input dari pengguna. Teknologi ini membuka peluang baru automasi tugas-tugas yang sebelumnya hanya bisa dilakukan oleh manusia, seperti berinteraksi langsung dengan elemen di layar atau mengelola alur kerja yang lebih kompleks.

Di sisi lain, perkembangan Generative AI (Gen AI) secara global yang  berkembang pesat turut memberikan dampak pada inovasi di conversational AI. Integrasi dengan Gen AI memungkinkan Kata.ai meningkatkan kemampuan personalisasi dan adaptasi AI, menjadikannya lebih cerdas dalam membantu bisnis mencapai efisiensi operasional dan pengalaman pelanggan yang lebih baik. Namun Irzan turut menyampaikan, adopsi teknologi ini juga memerlukan pendekatan yang hati-hati, dengan fokus pada keamanan dan kontrol untuk memastikan implementasi yang bertanggung jawab.

“Secara keseluruhan, Conversational AI kini tidak hanya menjadi alat komunikasi, tetapi juga sudah bertransformasi sebagai tools dengan peran proaktif dalam mendukung pengambilan keputusan dan menciptakan dampak nyata bagi bisnis,” terang Irzan.

Demi melengkapi pengalaman pengguna secara lebih menyeluruh, sepanjang tahun 2024 Kata.ai turut merilis sejumlah produk baru, di antaranya:

KataCX: Platform AI Agent yang dirancang khusus untuk UMKM. Pengguna dapat membangun AI Agent hanya dalam 5 menit. Platform ini sudah dilengkapi dengan teknologi LLM dan Agentic RAG yang mempermudah AI Agent mempelajari knowledge dari berbagai sumber, seperti website, PDF, dan Excel. Selain itu, AI Agent ini bisa langsung dihubungkan dengan WhatsApp Business API dan chat widget di website, sehingga memberikan solusi yang mudah dan terjangkau untuk usaha kecil dan menengah.
Kata AI Call Agent: Solusi end-to-end berbasis Gen AI untuk layanan CS, telesales, dan collection. Solusi ini menggabungkan beberapa teknologi state-of-the-art seperti LLM, Text-to-Speech dan Speech Recognition, memungkinkan perusahaan memberikan layanan yang lebih cepat dan personal kepada pelanggan.
“Tahun 2024, roadmap kami mencakup pengembangan solusi Agentic AI yang lebih spesifik untuk beberapa sektor industri seperti layanan finansial, kesehatan dan layanan publik. Selain itu, kami juga terus mengembangkan kemampuan platform kami untuk mendukung lebih banyak integrasi dan personalisasi, sehingga bisa menjadi solusi yang relevan untuk berbagai kebutuhan bisnis,” jelas Irzan.

Masih akan fokus di pasar Indonesia
Sampai sekarang ini fokus Kata.ai masih ingin terus memperkuat posisinya di pasar Indonesia. Kendati demikian, Irzan mengatakan bahwa Kata.ai juga telah menjajaki beberapa inisiatif pilot project di Asia Tenggara dan Timur Tengah. Langkah ini mereka tempuh secara bertahap dengan tetap memprioritaskan kesiapan produk dan strategi yang matang untuk mendukung pertumbuhan di luar negeri.

“Fundraising selalu menjadi opsi strategis untuk mempercepat pertumbuhan, terutama jika kami melihat peluang untuk ekspansi atau pengembangan produk yang membutuhkan dukungan tambahan. Namun, dengan performa finansial yang semakin solid, kami lebih fokus pada efisiensi dan keberlanjutan operasional. Fundraising bagi kami bukan sekadar mendapatkan dana, tetapi tentang membangun kolaborasi yang bisa memberikan nilai tambah strategis,” tutup Irzan.
