Penyakit cacar monyet yang kembali marak terjadi dikhawatirkan menjadi ancaman pandemi baru. Sejumlah startup yang bergerak di vertikal teknologi kesehatan atau healthtech dinilai mampu ikut serta dalam meredam maupun menangani penyakit tersebut. 

Alarm bahaya dari cacar monyet kembali berbunyi setelah Organisasi Kesehatan Dunia (WHO) menetapkannya sebagai darurat kesehatan global pada 14 Agustus 2024. Hal itu dilakukan setelah adanya peningkatan kasus yang disebabkan oleh virus monkeypox (MPXV) tersebut di Republik Demokratik Kongo dan negara-negara sekitarnya.

“Respons internasional yang terkoordinasi sangat diperlukan untuk menghentikan wabah ini dan menyelamatkan nyawa,” kata Direktur Jenderal WHO Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus dalam keterangan resmi seperti dikutip pada Jumat (06/09/2024).

Penyakit yang ditemukan pada 1970 ini kembali merebak secara global dalam tiga tahun terakhir. WHO mencatat, sudah ada lebih dari 100.000 kasus yang terkonfirmasi di sekitar 120 negara, termasuk Indonesia,  hingga Agustus 2024. 

Di dalam negeri sendiri, kasus cacar monyet pertama kali dilaporkan pada Oktober 2022. Kasus tersebut awalnya mendera seorang laki-laki asal Jakarta berusia 27 tahun, yang diduga terinfeksi saat bepergian ke luar negeri.

Kementerian Kesehatan pun mendeteksi 73 kasus cacar monyet di Indonesia sepanjang tahun 2023. Lalu, ada 14 kasus yang juga terkonfirmasi sejak Januari-Agustus 2024.

“Total (kasus cacar monyet di Indonesia sepanjang) 2022 sampai 2024 ada 88 kasus,” ucap Plt. Direktur Jenderal Pencegahan dan Pengendalian Penyakit (P2P) Kemenkes Yudhi Pramono dalam konferensi pers virtual pada Rabu (18/08/2024).

Dari jumlah tersebut, mayoritas kasus cacar monyet terdeteksi di Jakarta, yakni 59 kasus. Setelahnya diikuti oleh Jawa Barat (13 kasus), Banten (9 kasus), Yogyakarta (3 kasus), Jawa Timur (3 kasus) dan Kepulauan Riau (1 kasus).

**Peran penting telemedisin**
Menurut WHO, cacar monyet dapat menular dari orang ke orang melalui kontak dekat, seperti hubungan seksual, sentuhan kulit, atau tatap muka dalam jarak dekat. Penyakit ini juga bisa menyebar lewat benda terkontaminasi, seperti pakaian atau jarum suntik. 

Penularan penyakit ini mirip dengan Covid-19 yang menjadi pandemi sejak 2020 hingga Juni 2023. Alhasil, upaya pencegahannya pun serupa, seperti menjaga jarak dan menghindari kontak langsung dengan orang yang terinfeksi.

Jika cacar monyet menjadi wabah, hal tersebut memerlukan partisipasi sejumlah healthtech seperti telemedisin. Berkaca dari pandemi lalu, telemedisin dinilai berkontribusi besar dalam mencegah penularan Covid-19, lantaran menyediakan layanan konsultasi kesehatan secara online.

“Orang yang terindikasi kena cacar monyet pasti tidak mau berinteraksi fisik dengan dokter. Pasti first point-nya ya telemedisin,” kata Vice President of Business Development MDI Ventures Alvin Evander kepada Tech in Asia pada Kamis (05/09/2024).

Sejalan dengan itu, Alvin menilai startup telemedisin berpeluang kembali menarik kucuran dana investasi lebih banyak. Ini lantaran perannya yang cukup vital untuk pelayanan kesehatan saat adanya wabah yang membatasi aktivitas masyarakat.

Untuk diketahui, pendanaan ke startup telemedisin sempat menjadi primadona di vertikal healthtech pada 2020-2023. Berdasarkan data Tech in Asia, nilai pendanaan ke telemedisin mencapai US$315,5 juta (Rp4,85 triliun) sepanjang periode tersebut.

Hanya saja, subvertikal tersebut belum banyak dilirik sepanjang tahun 2024 berjalan. Baru ada satu kesepakatan pendanaan yang diraih oleh Alodokter senilai US$5,22 juta (Rp80,25 miliar) pada Februari 2024. Menurut data Alternatives.pe, dana tersebut diraih Alodokter dalam lanjutan putaran Seri C4 oleh HL Mando dan Beacon VC. 

“Dengan adanya penyakit baru ini memang ada tambahan potensi, khususnya buat startup yang bisa memberikan solusi efisien untuk menangani model-model krisis kesehatan seperti ini,” kata Alvin.

Hal senada disampaikan Alodokter selaku startup penyedia layanan telemedisin. Co-founder dan Presiden Direktur Alodokter Suci Arumsari mengatakan, masalah cacar monyet ini sangat mungkin memengaruhi minat investor.

“Hal ini dapat menyoroti pentingnya inovasi dalam kesehatan dan meningkatkan kesadaran akan kebutuhan solusi teknologi yang efektif dalam pencegahan dan penanganan penyakit,” kata Suci.

**Strategi cegah cacar monyet **
Atas dasar itu, Suci menyatakan, perusahaan rutin memberikan informasi terkini tentang cacar monyet melalui aplikasi dan situs webnya. Berkaca dari pengalaman saat pandemi, layanan telemedisin berperan penting untuk menyampaikan informasi yang cepat, akurat, dan transparan.

Selain itu, Alodokter bekerja sama dengan dokter dan ahli kesehatan untuk menyediakan sesi konsultasi dan tanya jawab langsung mengenai cacar monyet lewat platformnya. “Saat ini, fokus pertanyaan masyarakat ke dokter melalui fitur chat dokter umumnya masih terkait pencegahan,” kata dia.

Berbeda pendapat, Good Doctor menilai penetapan cacar monyet sebagai darurat kesehatan global tak akan berpengaruh langsung terhadap pendanaan ke healthtech. CEO Good Doctor Danu Wicaksana mengatakan, ada sejumlah faktor lain yang akan mempengaruhi pendanaan, seperti suku bunga The Federal Reserve (The Fed), kebijakan pemerintah, dan lainnya.

Kendati, perusahaan tetap turut serta dalam upaya pencegahan cacar monyet yang juga menerpa Indonesia. Hal itu dilakukan dengan memberikan edukasi profesional kepada dokter-dokter yang melayani di Good Doctor agar lebih cepat mendeteksi kasus-kasus yang dicurigai mengarah me cacar monyet.

“Sampai dengan saat ini, sudah ada beberapa kasus yang dicurigai merupakan kasus monkeypox dan kami mengarahkan pengguna ke fasilitas pelayanan kesehatan terdekat sesuai dengan instruksi dari Kementerian Kesehatan,” kata Danu.

Di samping itu, baik Alodokter dan Good Doctor sama-sama memperkuat kolaborasi dengan berbagai pemangku kepentingan dalam pencegahan cacar monyet, seperti pemerintah, organisasi kesehatan, dan tenaga medis profesional. Hal itu untuk memastikan respons yang terkoordinasi dan efektif dalam mencegah kasus cacar monyet meluas.

**Peluang healthtech lain**
Selain telemedisin, Alvin dari MDI Ventures mengatakan, startup healthtech di subvertikal lainnya dapat berpeluang ikut serta dalam pencegahan kasus cacar monyet. Salah satunya adalah perusahaan yang berfokus di bidang genomik, cabang biologi molekuler yang mempelajari struktur dan fungsi genom.

Perusahaan di bidang genomik yang menjadi sorotan saat pandemi Covid-19 adalah Oxford Nanopore Technologies. Teknologi sequencing dari perusahaan digunakan oleh National Health Service di Inggris untuk menyediakan alat tes Covid-19 dan melacak varian baru dari virus tersebut.

Di Indonesia, startup healthtech yang berfokus di bidang genomik di antaranya Asa Ren dan Nusantics. Pada pandemi Covid-19, Nusantics mengeklaim berhasil tumbuh secara signifikan berkat proyek pengembangan prototipe alat tes Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR).

Alvin pun menilai, platform farmasi atau apotek online juga dapat berperan dalam menghadapi ancaman cacar monyet. “Contohnya SwipeRx yang fokus di distribusi obat dan vaksin,” ujar Alvin.

Memperoleh pasokan obat dan vaksin, 
Menyediakan layanan pembiayaan usaha untuk apotek, serta

Alvin mengeklaim. startup yang merupakan portofolio MDI Ventures tersebut telah bermitra dengan 6.000 hingga 7.000 apotek di seluruh Indonesia. Alhasil, SwipeRX dapat membantu dalam distribusi obat dan vaksin ketika cacar monyet meluas.

“Jadi itu yang penting, bagaimana bisa punya infrastruktur, bisa menjangkau seluruh Indonesia, bukan hanya kota besar,” kata dia.

Acara yang bertujuan mempertemukan startup digital inovatif dengan BUMN ini diharapkan dapat mempercepat transformasi digital di Indonesia.

CEO MDI Ventures, Donald Wihardja, mengatakan bahwa Nex-BE Fest 2024 akan mengusung tema 'Transformasi Digital'.

"Tema ini dipilih karena MDI Ventures ingin berperan aktif dalam memfasilitasi implementasi solusi teknologi dari startup portofolio kami ke dalam ekosistem Telkom Group dan BUMN lainnya," ujar Donald melalui keterangannya, Rabu (7/8/2024).

Ia menambahkan, perusahaan percaya bahwa transformasi digital adalah kunci untuk meningkatkan daya saing bisnis di era digital.

"Oleh karena itu, kami tidak hanya fokus pada inovasi teknologi, tetapi juga pada membangun sinergi bisnis yang berkelanjutan," ucap Donald.

Pada penyelenggaraan sebelumnya, Nex-BE Fest berhasil menciptakan sejumlah kolaborasi strategis antara startup dan BUMN.

Beberapa contoh suksesnya adalah kerjasama FitAja dan Admedika di bidang kesehatan digital, serta OPSIGO dan Kimia Farma dalam pengelolaan pariwisata korporasi.

"Kami bangga dengan keberhasilan sinergi antar-perusahaan yang terus berlanjut, seperti startup Privy dengan Finnet, Cakap dengan Pijar Belajar, dan OPSIGO dengan Indonesia Financial Group," Donald menjelaskan.

## **Seleksi Ketat, Target Ambisius**

MDI Ventures akan melakukan seleksi ketat terhadap startup yang akan berpartisipasi dalam Nex-BE Fest 2024. Selain itu, perusahaan juga akan memetakan kebutuhan dari berbagai entitas di Telkom Group dan BUMN lainnya.

"Kami menargetkan setidaknya ada 50 startup, 25 entitas Telkom Group, dan 25 entitas BUMN yang berpartisipasi dalam acara tahun ini," ungkap Donald.

Hingga akhir tahun 2023, nilai sinergi yang terbentuk antara startup dan BUMN melalui Nex-BE Fest telah mencapai lebih dari USD 780 juta.

Angka tersebut menunjukkan bahwa acara ini telah memberikan kontribusi yang signifikan bagi pertumbuhan ekonomi digital di Indonesia.
